Software Engineer, Growth
At SCB Abacus, we are working hard to provide better access to credit for everyone, aiming to solve one of the fundamental problems in Thailand – financial inclusion. Our flagship product is the digital lending application, MoneyThunder, that is already used by more than one million people in Thailand. We are at the stage of scaling the impact beyond the first million.
As a Growth Software Engineer, you will bring your passion for technology and bias-for-action attitude to empower the team to find the best ways to grow our business, a.k.a. ‘growth hacks’. On top of best practices in software engineering, you will get to learn and develop expertise in technology stacks related to growth, AdTech, MarTech, which are popular among tech startups.
What you will do
Work closely with data scientists and other team members to identify
opportunities to drive product growth by proactively analyzing growth funnel
Move fast to implement solutions, experiment, and iterate to realize the impact.
The requirements may touch different parts of our software system including
but not limited to advertisement/marketing, mobile application, backend
Always follow best practices in software development (especially in a cloud
environment) to ensure secure, efficient and maintainable software services.
What we are looking for
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong background in Computer Science and Software Engineering including
algorithms, data structures, software architecture, OOP, system design, etc.
Proficiency in Java and preferably Node.js or Python.
Some knowledge of both relational and NoSQL databases.
Experience working with user growth of a mobile-app-based product is a plus.
Knowledge of and passion for AdTech and MarTech is preferred.
